Awww so sorry to hear you lost another hen. I haven't lost one for a long time now (touch wood). I've got 10 at the moment.
Perhaps you might consider some more ex batts? There is another rescue this Saturday (19th) details on my blog but you would have to be quick as they are closing the lists over the next day or two. I always feel that when a hen dies it is a case of 'as one door closes, another one opens for another lucky hen' IYKWIM. Sorry for your loss, its never easy is it :o(
